Dimora Cavalcanti · Naples

The residence

Within an eighteenth-century palazzo, a private retreat in the heart of Naples.

The concept

In Naples you can sleep in any room, or inside a palazzo with three hundred years of history. That is exactly what Dimora Cavalcanti is: six refined rooms, each named after a neighborhood of the city.

The eighteenth-century shutters still open onto the street. Inside, silence.

The history

These walls
remember

In the eighteenth century, when via Toledo was already the liveliest street in Europe, this palazzo opened its doors. Three centuries later, its walls preserve what time has erased elsewhere: exposed beams, high ceilings, the generous proportions of an era that built to last.

Dimora Cavalcanti was born from a restoration that chose not to erase: every intervention coexists with the building’s history, every modern comfort fits in discreetly. The result is a private residence that inhabits the palazzo with respect, without bending it to its own needs.

The restoration

What time
has not erased

The original beams have stayed where the eighteenth century placed them. The high ceilings, the materials, the proportions: nothing has been hidden. Around this structure, today’s comforts move on tiptoe (air conditioning, soundproofing, carefully designed bathrooms), chosen so as not to clash with the palazzo.
